OxMak Information Session!
The Oxford University Mountaineering Club will be hosting Neil Gresham and Kenton Cool, two of the world’s most accomplished mountaineers, to speak at the Oxford Maths Department (Mathematical Institute, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6HD) on Wednesday 5th November. Doors open at 7pm.
Neil is one of the UK’s elite E10 climbers, and will be talking about his adventures in Nepal earlier this year. Kenton completed the ‘Himalayan Triple Crown’ of Everest, Nuptse and Lhotse in three days earlier this year, and is one of very few people to ski down two 8000m peaks.
£1 from each ticket will be donated to the Paldorje Education Fund, which provides headstart scholarships for less fortunate Sherpa children in Nepal. There will also be a raffle in the interval, with prizes generously donated by Sherpa Adventure Gear.
Don’t miss your chance to hear these amazing, adrenaline-fuelled stories of life at the leading edge of human achievement!
